Can we talk about how they made the holograms physical in Arc V and how fucking amazing that is
all those yugiohs now have the ability to do anything from stand proudly on top of their 12 story dragon to petting their fluffy little Kuriboh
I like that shit
Yuuya totally spends hours just playing with cards in front of a mirror, trying to figure out what angles are the best, what the best way is to Set cards without blocking the Duel Disk with his arm, what dramatic gestures he can make without smacking himself in the head with his Monster Zones or dropping his cards…
Yuushou probably passed down some tricks, too, like, always look down at your hand instead of holding it up near your face, you don’t want the camera getting a screenful of card backs. Memorize the hell out of your card effects so you can play them while making eye contact with the audience. Have some banter prepared to entertain everyone if you have to check something, because nobody’s there to watch you swipe at a touchscreen.
The other protagonists just kind of did most of this stuff because they’re protagonists and their role is to be entertaining to the real-life audience, but Yuuya’s doing it in-universe.
Watch Shingo leave/get kicked out of LDS.
Watch him end up at the You Show School
like what happened to a certain sass monster in GX.
If you don’t think Ayu is the most adorable, you are wrong.
laughing like this?
(Am I the only one who thinks this is weird…? :x )
The more they keep going on about there being classes for different kinds of summoning, the more I’m convinced that at some point there was a massive book burning in which all of the duel monsters rule books were destroyed and people like Reiji said “Hey if you want to learn how to summon this, then pay us money so we can teach you.” Because control of education and capitalism are also good methods in taking over the world.
THIS. This has been annoying me from the very beginning. I really want to know what this all is about, why people just can’t learn to Fusion/Synchro/XYZ/… summon themselves. It should also be possible by just reading the cards, but I think that maybe the cards themselves have become rare and are only handed to LDS elite students.
I’m having a very hard time believing these are screencaps of the same character.
I’m so proud of Yuya, he got his priorities straight much faster compared to Judai.
I also liked how despite playing serious for most of the duel, Yuya didn’t make any serious misplays, as far as I can tell at least, or would be struggling more than if he was playing normally. That’s pretty refreshing.
Well he struggled, but I cared more about him taking this seriously and being concerned about saving his school rather than entertaining people at a time like this. So good for Yuya!
