we were talking about three guardians and a baby again… japhet fluffing up his feathers and hugo curling up and falling asleep on his down like a pillow… :’)
Here’s my finished Sugar (from OFF) cosplay. I definitely had the most fun with the wig, and being stuck in it the rest of the day was fine too. I might have more photos soon.
I played OFF several months before the fandom really existed. In a way, I think that was the ideal way to experience it. I went in only knowing there were talking cats and a catchy battle theme. What I got from it was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had with a game.
It’s been surreal watching it become so popular. Don’t get me wrong— I LOVED seeing that happen. I still do! It pained me to think that something so good might go unnoticed. That’s obviously not a problem now. Instead, I see a lot of people dismissing it because it’s everywhere. A lot of the time, these are people who I think would enjoy it for the same reasons I did.
So, for those who still haven’t played OFF: don’t get misled by what’s on your dash. OFF isn’t about the characters, it’s not about the plot.It is arguably about the ragtime battle theme. This is a game that is defined by its atmosphere. It is a horror game that inspires not fear, but a painful sense of regret. It is a stunning experience, one that I hope people won’t be scared away from having.
